Jesus called them to him, saying, Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God.
St John Henry Newman is committed to providing a safe environment for all our parishioners, from the youngest to the oldest.
As a part of that effort the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter has instituted a robust Safe Environment programme. Our parish participates fully in this, providing mandatory training (including detailed background checks) for all volunteers who work with children. Registration must be completed through the comprehensive VIRTUS programme, as found here:
We also provide parents with materials to use in discussing safe environment issues with their own children.
